Severn Waste Environmental Fund Brief Description: WTOF is responsible for the management of the Severn Waste Environmental Fund (SWEF) in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The fund, designed to help mitigate the effects of landfill, uses the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme to help local communities. Waste Minimisation Education and Awareness Campaign Brief Description: An on-going campaign to reduce the amount of household waste we produce in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Currently the two counties produce more than 388,600 tonnes of household rubbish each year, much of which ends up in landfill sites. Impetus – Rural Reinvestment in the Marches Brief Description: Impetus is a Community Development Finance Institution, or CDFI, set up by WTOF to promote sustainability in our local economy. Its purpose is to support viable enterprises that need finance when mainstream sources are unable to help.
